K Group Companies in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to service clients in Burnsville, Minnesota. This role builds on Level I duties, adds advanced installation leadership, system configuration, FAT, and on-site training for customers, ensuring smooth deployments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on field experience, knowledge of high/low voltage, and familiarity with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a construction trade.
• Advanced knowledge of electricity (high/low voltage).
• Hands-on/field experience.
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, networking).
• Reading architectural drawings.
• Team management/supervisor experience.
• Experience with service ticketing processes.
• 1+ year of experience with fire, CCTV, intrusion, nurse call systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Execute all Level I installer roles per our documentation to maintain high installation standards.
• Organize and track project and service tickets with timely updates.
• Understand project scopes and service expectations, take accountability for tasks.
• Lead and delegate tasks within the team to foster growth.
• Mentor Level 1 installers and solicit feedback for improvement.
• Maintain communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, PMs, and customers.
• Work with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems.
• Pursue ongoing professional development, especially leadership and communication.
• Perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) before installation.
• Configure and commission systems for reliable client solutions.
• Accept additional duties as needed.
