Job summary

K Group Companies is seeking a Field Service Technician II to support our Ohio clients. This role builds on Level I duties and adds advanced installation, configuration, and leadership responsibilities to guide teams on site.

You'll perform FAT testing, system commissioning, and customer training, while coordinating with project delivery coordinators and managers. The ideal candidate has hands-on field experience, basic IT networking, and a proven ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a construction trade or equivalent field experience.
• Knowledge of electricity high/low voltage is preferred.
• Hands-on/field experience from previous work.
• Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, VoIP) and IT basics.
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Experience leading small teams or supervising others.

Responsibilities

• Execute Level I installer roles and responsibilities with adherence to documented standards.
• Manage project and service tickets with timely updates and clear communication.
• Lead tasks within the team and delegate to members to achieve goals.
• Mentor Level 1 installers and seek feedback for improvement.
• Communicate effectively with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers.
• Work with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems on diverse projects.
• Pursue ongoing professional development in leadership and communication.
• Perform FAT testing and ensure systems meet quality and performance standards.
• Configure and commission systems, delivering reliable client-ready solutions.
• Be flexible to take on additional duties as required.
