K Group Companies in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to lead installation teams, configure and program devices, and deliver customer training for nurse call, access control, and video surveillance systems. This role builds on Level I responsibilities with leadership, advanced technical skills, and a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a construction trade.
• Advanced knowledge of electricity (high/low voltage).
• Hands-on field experience from previous work.
• Basic telecom knowledge: TCP/IP, networking, VoIP.
• 1+ year in fire, CCTV, intrusion or nurse call systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Execute Level I installer duties following documentation to uphold high standards.
• Manage project/service tickets with timely updates.
• Oversee task scopes and delivery, ensuring quality results.
• Lead team by delegating tasks and fostering collaboration.
• Mentor Level 1 installers and seek feedback for improvement.
• Maintain communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, PMs, and customers.
• Work with nurse call, access control, and video surveillance systems.
• Pursue leadership and communication development for ongoing contribution.
• Perform FAT tests before installation to ensure quality.
• Configure systems and commission them for reliable operation.
• Willingly take on additional duties as needed.
