Job summary

K Group Companies in Minnesota seeks a Field Service Technician II to lead installations, configure and commission a range of systems, and train customers at a basic operations level. You will mentor Level 1 installers, manage service tickets, and coordinate with project teams to ensure quality workmanship.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in construction, knowledge of fire/CCTV/ intrusion systems, and strong communication skills to support a wide range of security and IT environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade.
• Experience with fire, CCTV, intrusion and nurse call systems preferred.
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, networking, VoIP).
• Ability to read architectural drawings and work with low voltage cabling.

Responsibilities

• Execute Level I installer responsibilities with adherence to documentation.
• Lead installation teams and mentor Level 1 installers.
• Communicate with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers.
• Configure, program, and commission systems; perform FAT testing.
• Provide customer training at a basic operations level.
