Job summary

Waters Corporation in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Field Service Specialist to install, maintain and troubleshoot Waters analytical instruments (LC, LC/MS, HPLC/UPLC, SFC) at customer sites across multiple industries.

You will build strong customer relationships, train users, support service contracts and ensure compliance with health and safety and quality standards while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology or related science field; equivalent experience considered.
• 2 years of experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting of scientific instrumentation.
• Valid driver's license in good standing is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Install, perform maintenance, troubleshoot and support Waters product suite (LC, LC/MS, HPLC/UPLC, SFC, Informatics).
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers to ensure success.
• Lead customer communications, set expectations and provide follow-up plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and quality systems; deliver system-level training at customer sites.
• Manage service inventory per Waters policies; document work with field service reports.
• Travel as required (including international) for training and service; support Sales in identifying service opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of technology and customer applications; contribute to continuous improvements.
