Job summary

Waters Corporation invites a Field Service Specialist to join its Indianapolis, IN team. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support Waters’ LC, LC/MS, HPLC/UPLC, and SFC instruments across multiple laboratories.

The role emphasizes customer relationships, clear communication of work performed, and on-site training. Overnight travel, including international, is required as needed.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 2 years' experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and end-user support of scientific instruments.
• Valid driver's license in good standing is mandatory.
• Ability to troubleshoot at system level and understand scientific workflows.
• Willingness for overnight and international travel for training.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and support Waters instruments (LC, LC/MS, HPLC/UPLC, SFC, Informatics).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Communicate work performed and follow up with customers as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality procedures.
• Deliver system-level training at customer sites.
• Manage service inventory according to Waters policies.
• Complete field service reports documenting work performed.
• Identify future service opportunities with Sales.
