Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Field Adjuster who will independently manage moderate to high‑value field property claims with travel on short notice. You will lead investigations, evaluate coverage, set reserves, negotiate settlements, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with claim handling.
• Typically requires 5–10 years of adjusting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Xactimate and claims processes.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage field property claims, including CAT response and complex cases.
• Lead investigations, assess coverage, and issue documentation such as letters and rights reservations.
• Coordinate with legal, underwriting, vendors, and agents; may participate in mediations/arbitrations.
• Mentor junior adjusters and contribute to best practices and training materials.
• Maintain detailed claim records and ensure regulatory compliance.
