Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Field Property Adjuster for the Springfield, Illinois territory. This remote, full-time role requires advanced investigation, evaluation, and negotiation of mid-to-high value field property claims.

You will independently manage claims, coordinate with internal teams and external experts, and travel on short notice. Strong knowledge of policy provisions, regulations, and best practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent claims handling experience.
• 5–10 years adjusting experience.
• Active state licenses, continuing education and valid driver’s license.
• Strong Xactimate proficiency, Level II certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Independently manage field property claims, including CAT and outside field investigations; set reserves and authorize payments within authority.
• Lead thorough investigations; assess coverage; issue reserving letters; escalate issues as needed.
• Identify subrogation potential and pursue recovery opportunities.
• Maintain detailed claim records and regulatory-compliant documentation; prepare findings reports.
• Coordinate with legal, underwriting, vendors, and agents; may represent company in mediations/arbitrations/trials.
• Mentor junior adjusters and contribute to training and best practices.
