Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Federal Software Program Manager to direct large-scale, enterprise software deployments for federal government and public safety clients. In this high-visibility, remote role, you will hold end-to-end accountability for program governance, financial performance (P&L), cross-functional team leadership, federal compliance, and client satisfaction.

This is a fully remote position, with up to 50% travel to customer sites across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or Business Administration is required or equivalent.
• 8+ years of software project or program management experience delivering complex, large-scale software solutions.
• Strong preference for candidates with federal government software contracts; equivalent experience in Public Safety, SaaS, or regulated industries will be considered.
• PMP certification in process or completed is strongly preferred; advanced PM certifications (PgMP, SAFe SPC, Release Train Engineer, CSM) are a plus.
• Working knowledge of federal contracting practices or willingness to learn.
• Experience contributing to proposal development, effort estimation, and win strategies for large federal procurements.
• Proficiency with enterprise PM tools (Jira Align, Microsoft Project, Confluence, Asana).

Responsibilities

• Develops and directs project plans for large, high-visibility programs.
• Leads cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical software solutions.
• Maintains program governance, financial performance (P&L), and risk management.
• Acts as primary liaison with federal customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Monitors progress, manages change, and ensures milestones and deadlines are met.
• Ensures compliance with government regulations and internal policies.
