Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Federal Software Program Manager to direct large-scale enterprise software deployments for federal government and public safety clients. The role is remote with up to 50% travel across North America, with preference for Eastern/Central locations.

You will oversee program governance, P&L, cross-functional leadership, federal compliance, and client satisfaction while shaping proposals and delivering mission-critical software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or Business Administration.
• 8+ years of software project or program management delivering complex, large-scale software solutions.
• Experience leading federal government software contracts strongly preferred; equivalent enterprise experience in public safety, telecommunications, SaaS, or regulated industries considered.
• PMP in process or completed strongly preferred; Advanced program mgmt or Agile certs (PgMP, SAFe SPC/Release Train Engineer, CSM) are a plus.
• Federal acumen: working knowledge of federal contracting practices or willingness to learn.
• Competitive & proposal expertise: demonstrated success in proposal development, effort estimation, and win strategies for large federal procurements.
• Technical & PM tooling: proficiency in Jira Align, Microsoft Project, Confluence, Asana for large-scale telemetry and portfolio reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develops and governs master project plans using automated PM tools and processes.
• Defines and measures performance to achieve goals.
• Uses best practice PM methodologies to maximize project effectiveness.
• Ensures standards and processes are followed on projects.
