Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Federal Software Program Manager to direct large-scale software deployments for federal government and public safety clients. This fully remote role carries end-to-end governance, P&L accountability, and cross-functional leadership with occasional travel up to 50% across North America.

Eastern/Central location preferred. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in software project or program management, strong federal contracting knowledge, and PMP; Agile

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or Business Administration.
• 8+ years of software project or program management experience delivering complex, large-scale software solutions.
• PMP certification preferred; advanced program management or Agile certifications are a plus.
• Working knowledge of federal contracting practices or willingness to learn.
• Experience contributing to proposal development, effort estimation, and win strategies for large federal procurements.
• Proficiency in enterprise PM platforms (Jira Align, Microsoft Project, Confluence, Asana) for large-scale telemetry and portfolio reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages master project plans using automated PM tools and processes.
• Leads a multidisciplinary project team to achieve goals and milestones.
• Serves as primary contact for customers, subcontractors, and internal staff for the project.
• Monitors financial performance, budgets, revenue, margin, and cash.
• Performs risk assessment and escalation to mitigate issues.
