Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the United States is seeking a Senior Federal Software Program Manager to direct large-scale enterprise deployments for federal government and public safety clients. You will own program governance, financial performance, cross-functional leadership, and compliance, delivering mission-critical software solutions.

This is a fully remote role with up to 50% travel across North America; candidates in Eastern/Central locations are preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software project or program management experience delivering complex, large-scale software solutions.
• Experience leading federal government software contracts is strongly preferred; equivalent large-scale enterprise experience in Public Safety, Telecommunications, SaaS, or comparable regulated industries will be considered.
• PMP in process or completed strongly preferred; advanced program management or Agile certifications (e.g., PgMP, SAFe SPC/Release Train Engineer, CSM) are a plus.
• Working knowledge of federal contracting practices or willingness to learn.
• Demonstrated success contributing to proposal development, effort estimation, and win strategies for large federal procurements.
• Proficiency in enterprise PM platforms (Jira Align, Microsoft Project, Confluence, Asana) for large-scale telemetry and portfolio reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develops, oversees, and closes large-scale projects from planning to delivery.
• Leads a multidisciplinary project team and ensures alignment with internal workflows.
• Interfaces with customers, subcontractors, and internal staff; provides regular status updates.
• Accountable for financial success; maintains budgets and monitors revenue, margin, and cash.
• Provides ongoing risk assessment and mitigation plans; escalates issues and defines action plans.
