Job summary

Airbus Americas, based in Wichita, KS, seeks a Senior Structure Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Analysis Engineer to join our Engineering department. You will perform complex FDT analyses for metallic parts and collaborate with design and static stress colleagues to craft repair solutions.

Located on the WSU innovation campus, the team supports in-service fleets with structural repair justifications, while aiming to keep aircraft airworthy and compliant with airworthiness requirements.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) required.
• Minimum 9 years total analysis experience in airframe design/repair.
• Experience with metallic and/or composite airframe repairs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create high quality FDT repair solutions for airlines and internal customers.
• Autonomously perform complex FDT analyses to ensure structural integrity.
• Mentor junior FDT engineers in metallic repairs.
• Collaborate with Design and Static Stress to optimize repair solutions.
• Ensure final repair brings aircraft back to airworthy condition.
• Plan, monitor and execute tasks to meet customer timelines.
• Provide clear responses to complex repair queries for Airbus Operations and Customer Services.
• Be part of an integrated engineering team with strategy direction.
