Airbus Americas, Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking a Senior Structure Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer to join our Engineering department.

You will perform complex FDT analyses on aircraft structures and collaborate with design and static stress teams to develop high strength-to-weight airframe components. The role requires a BS in Engineering (Aero, Civil or Mechanical), 13+ years of analysis experience including fatigue and damage tolerance, and strong knowledge of classical and finite element

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Aero, Civil or Mechanical).
• Minimum thirteen (13) years total experience in analysis with airframe structures.
• Experience to include fatigue and/or damage tolerance.
• In-depth knowledge of classical and numerical (FE) stress analysis methods.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex FDT analyses for metallic airframe structures.
• Collaborate with design vs. static stress teams to develop high strength-to-weight components.
• Lead and mentor a team of structural analysts on advanced projects.
• Document analyses for trade studies and sign-offs.
• Represent engineering in presentations to management and customers.
