Airbus Americas, Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking a Senior Structure Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer to join the Engineering team.

You will perform complex FDT analyses on metallic airframe parts, collaborating with design and static stress colleagues to develop high strength-to-weight structures. The role requires a BS in Engineering, 13+ years in analysis of airframe structures, expertise in classical and finite element methods, and proficiency with CATIA, NASTRAN, PATRAN.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with 13+ years in airframe structure analysis including fatigue and/or damage tolerance.
• Deep knowledge of classical and numerical stress analysis methods.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex FDT analyses for metallic aircraft structures.
• Collaborate with design and static stress teams to develop high strength-to-weight structures.
• Document analyses for trade studies and sign-off.
• Mentor less experienced analysts and guide project milestones.
• Lead major project aspects and communicate with management and customers.
