Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Wichita, Kansas is seeking a Senior Structure Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Analysis Engineer to support the in-service fleet by evaluating repairs and producing airworthiness justifications.

The role involves performing complex FDT analyses for metallic parts, collaborating with design and static stress teams, and developing efficient repair solutions to meet customer needs and regulatory requirements. Strong communication in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical).
• Minimum 9 years total analysis experience in airframe design/repair programs.
• Experience in metallic and/or composite airframe structural repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex FDT analysis for metallic parts and collaborate with design and static stress teams to provide repair solutions.
• Develop repair solutions to satisfy airworthiness requirements and customer needs (Airlines/MROs).
• Mentor less experienced FDT Engineers in all types of metallic structural repairs.
• Liaise with Design, Static Stress and other Airbus departments to come up with optimum design solutions for airline customers.
• Ensure that final repair solutions bring the aircraft back into an airworthy condition.
