Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks a highly experienced Static Stress & F&DT Structure Engineer to join the Wichita, Kansas team. You will analyze primary airframe structures, work with design colleagues, and develop robust solutions for metallic and non‑metallic components.

You will mentor junior analysts, lead major projects, and contribute to the full aircraft life cycle from development to manufacture and support. A strong background in FEM and classical methods is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with emphasis on structural design and analysis.
• At least 12 years of total structure analysis experience on primary airframe structures.
• Experience with composite aircraft structures is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of classical and numerical stress analysis methods.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Perform static or F&DT analysis for metallic and non-metallic parts.
• Collaborate with design teams to provide high‑quality solutions.
• Document analyses for trade studies or sign-offs on airframe structures.
• Mentor junior analysts and lead complex problem sets.
• Lead major projects with defined objectives and timelines.
