Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Atlanta, GA seeks a Senior Structure Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Analysis Engineer to join the Engineering department.

You will perform FDT analyses for metallic parts and collaborate with design and static stress teams to provide repair solutions with airworthiness in mind. The role includes mentoring, liaising across departments, and delivering certified repair analyses for the airline fleet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering with emphasis on structural design and analysis.
• Minimum 9 years total analysis experience in airframe design/repair programs.
• Experience in metallic and/or composite airframe structural repair.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality integrated and certified engineering repair solutions for airlines and internal customers within given time scales.
• Autonomously perform complex FDT analyses to assess structural integrity and produce justification and certification documents.
• Mentor less experienced FDT engineers in metallic repairs.
• Liaise with Design and Static Stress to develop optimum repair solutions for customers.
• Ensure final repair solutions restore airworthiness and that tasks are properly planned and executed.
