Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks a Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Analysis Engineer to support aircraft structure development in Wichita, KS or Mobile, AL.

You will conduct routine to moderate FDT analyses for metallic parts, collaborating with design and static stress teams to optimize high strength-to-weight structures. The role requires a BS in Engineering (Aero/Civil/Mechanical) and at least six years of Static Stress/FDT experience, plus fluent English communication and US work authorization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical) is required.
  • Minimum six years total experience in Static Stress and/or Fatigue & Damage Tolerance analysis with airframe structures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) and be authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine to moderate Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analyses on metallic aircraft structures.
  • Document analyses for trades studies and sign-out of airframe drawings.
  • Collaborate with Static Stress, Design and other Airbus departments to develop optimal solutions.
  • Create and deliver technical documents and presentations with minimal direction.
  • Plan and execute tasks to meet project deadlines, while maintaining independence and clear communication.
