Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Facilities Manager to oversee daily operations of manufacturing facilities, manage building systems, and optimize maintenance programs. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong vendor management, and proven ability to manage capital projects and regulatory compliance.

The incumbent will lead cross-functional teams, drive cost controls, and ensure seamless production with strategic oversight across multiple sites. Travel across states is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facility Management or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of facilities management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience managing capital projects and maintenance programs.
• Vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of building systems, CMMS implementation, and utilization.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and facility management software.
• Able to present complex projects to executive leadership.
• Valid driver's license; travel between sites across states.

• Oversee daily operations of assigned manufacturing facilities
• Manage building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and security
• Utilize CMMS to schedule, track, and manage work orders
• Maintain and enhance preventative maintenance programs
• Perform repair/replace analytics for building infrastructure and mechanical systems
• Analyze maintenance outliers, determine root causes, and direct corrective actions
• Prepare and manage facility budgets and track variances
• Oversee capital budgets, R&M spend, and G&A expenditures
• Identify, qualify, and manage national and regional vendor relationships
• Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance
• Plan, schedule, and execute capital projects and facility renovation initiatives
• Lead and develop facility management professionals through career development plans
• Participate in compensation planning processes
• Serve as a strategic liaison between operations, leadership, and vendors
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize disruption to production processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Facility Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 8+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably in manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated experience managing capital projects and comprehensive maintenance programs
• Proven experience with vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget management
• Advanced knowledge of building systems, maintenance requirements, and CMMS implementation and utilization
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and relationship-building skills
• Proficiency in Excel and facility management software systems
• Ability to present complex projects to executive leadership
• Valid driver's license required
• Travel between sites across multiple states required
• Advanced degree in Facility Management or related field preferred
• Professional certifications such as CPM, RPA, or CSM preferred
• Experience supporting corporate roll-out projects and creating execution scopes for other departments preferred
• Knowledge of standard business and accounting practices specific to facility operations preferred
• Experience partnering with EH&S teams to maintain regulatory compliance in manufacturing environments preferred
• Demonstrated track record of providing excellent internal and external customer service preferred
• Experience with third-party property owner relationships and contract compliance management preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
