Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead the operation, maintenance, and safety of the manufacturing facility's infrastructure. You will plan, supervise, and optimize maintenance staff and activities to ensure regulatory compliance and production support.

You will manage budgets, procurements, and safety programs while coordinating with operations, engineering, EHS, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Five years of facility maintenance management experience.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance, repair, and construction programs.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, terminology, equipment, and tools used in building maintenance, repair, and construction, including carpentry, plumbing, heating, electrical, mechanical, and painting work.
  • Knowledge of supervision, training, and performance evaluation principles.
  • Knowledge of municipal budget preparation and administration.
  • Knowledge of construction and project management principles.
  • Knowledge of safety management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of office procedures, computers, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and applicable software.
  • Knowledge of pertinent local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, codes, and rules.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Ability to organize, implement, and direct facility maintenance staff, operations, and activities.
  • Ability to manage, train, and evaluate assigned staff.
  • Ability to interpret and explain department policies and procedures.
  • Ability to develop cost estimates for supplies and equipment.
  • Ability to perform complex maintenance duties and operate related equipment.
  • Ability to develop and recommend systems and procedures related to assigned operations.

  • Perform technical and complex facility maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with contractors providing contract services.
