Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of professional education.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school or five to seven years related experience and/or training.
• Universal CFC
• Technical degree in HVAC or five or more years of related experience
• Active Refrigeration Technician's license.

Responsibilities

• Monitors operation of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment; heating, ventilation and hot water equipment; pumps, valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment; reviews logs and reports problems as needed; performs preventive maintenance when required.
• Oversees inventory of tools and supplies; submits purchase orders, sources stock materials, and performs periodic checks of inventory levels and equipment conditions.
• Oversees activities of contractors working within the building.
• Identifies safety hazards and administers safety training program.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory laws and guidelines for building infrastructure and reports discrepancies to management.
• Maintains infrastructure and compliance documentation including drawings and single-lines for regulatory purposes.
• Supervises building engineers and maintenance staff, including hiring and training.
• Ensures Facility Work Flow is understood by staff, tenants, and contractors.
• Develops QA/QC processes and facilitates MEP/infrastructure assessments.
• Emphasizes preventative maintenance over corrective maintenance and supports staff scheduling changes.
• Provides training and support to expand operations staff capabilities; demonstrates proper use of tools and safety procedures.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
