UG2 in Boston, MA is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Engineer to operate, maintain and repair mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in a commercial property. The role focuses on reliability, safety and service quality while supporting building automation and energy workflows.

You will manage boilers, HVAC controls, pumps, gas distribution, water systems, fire pump testing and office/building infrastructure.

Formación

• 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Excellent organizational skills and communication abilities.
• Ability to learn and adapt to technological advances.

Responsabilidades

• Operate, maintain and minor repair boilers, heaters, pumps, valves, and lines for steam and heated/processed water.
• Operate, maintain and minor repair refrigerant compressors, condensers, evaporators, traps and related HVAC systems.
• Maintain pumps for brines and other secondary refrigerants and associated lines and valves.
• Operate air compressors and distribution lines, including air control devices and filtration systems.
• Maintain natural and manufactured gas distribution lines and related devices.
• Maintain water filtration, softeners, piping, tanks and sprinkler systems.
• Operate electrical motors and drivers for pumps, compressors, generators and fans.
• Perform electrical/control system work and diagnostics (VFDs, motor controls).
• Maintain fuel oil systems and related piping, pumps, valves and controls.
• Operate and maintain building automation systems for HVAC and lighting, including remote sensors and consoles.
• Maintain piping, plumbing and sewer systems, including drains and blockages cleaning.
• Maintain waste handling equipment including trash/recycling/composting compactors and related systems.
• Maintenance of kitchen equipment (excluding tenant-owned).
• Support life safety equipment testing and maintenance.
• Inventory control for parts and materials for building systems.
• Maintain equipment rooms and repair furniture and floors as needed.
• Perform locksmithing duties and maintain locksmithing log.
• Understand building design and construction procedures.
• 5+ years of related work experience (duplicate in list).
• Must have working knowledge of all tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and stand extended periods.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
