Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a seasoned security researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits and contribute to adversary tracking using sophisticated reverse engineering and AI-assisted tools. The role focuses on defensive analysis, threat intel, and developing automation to improve detection and mitigation capabilities.

The candidate will collaborate with intelligence teams, write actionable reports, and help advance CrowdStrike’s capability to detect and mitigate exploits across platforms.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques commonly seen in exploits for userspace and kernel-level vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of Windows and at least two operating system platforms.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset and strong team player.
• Proficiency with reverse engineering tools and processes (disassemblers, decompilers, debuggers).
• Knowledge of Python and AI-assisted tools to accelerate vulnerability research.
• Ability to communicate complex technical findings effectively.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems for cross-team adversary tracking based on exploitation behavior.
• Improve and maintain capabilities for detecting exploits and malicious payloads.
• Identify opportunities to increase threat visibility using new data sources.
• Maintain understanding of exploits through reverse engineering.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis tasks.
• Create a classification framework to aid attribution of intrusion activity.
• Contribute to active mitigation efforts with technical expertise.
• Develop host-based and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting and prevention.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reports with actionable guidance.
