Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a highly skilled Security Researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits and track adversaries with TAC. You will reverse engineer exploits, develop automation, and produce actionable intelligence for detection and mitigation.

This remote role emphasizes collaboration across the Intelligence team and external partners. The ideal candidate has deep exploit analysis experience, strong writing skills, and proficiency in Python, with a track record of contributing to adversary

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques for userspace and kernel vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of at least two OS platforms, including Windows.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset and strong teamwork.
• Proficient in reverse engineering tools and processes.
• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages, especially Python.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to speed vulnerability research.
• Proven experience using AI to improve decision-making and workflows.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in writing and visuals.
• Excellent writing skills are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems for adversary tracking from exploitation behavior.
• Improve and maintain capabilities to detect exploits and malicious payloads.
• Identify opportunities to increase threat visibility using new data sources.
• Maintain understanding of exploit internals via reverse engineering.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis tasks.
• Create a classification framework for intrusion activity based on vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to active mitigation efforts with technical expertise.
• Develop host- and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting, detection, and prevention.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reports with actionable guidance.
• Brief complex analyses to diverse audiences and collaborate across teams.
