Job summary

CrowdStrike Intelligence is seeking a security researcher to study exploits in the wild and document techniques observed in real-world attacks. The role emphasizes defensive analysis, reverse engineering, and the development of automation tools to support large-scale threat hunting.

You'll produce actionable threat intelligence, collaborate across teams, and communicate findings to readers with excellent writing and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques seen in user space and kernel vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of Windows and other OS platforms.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Strong writing skills and ability to communicate complex results.

Responsibilities

• Develop tracking systems for cross-team adversary tracking based on exploitation behavior.
• Improve detection of exploits, malicious payloads, and attack vectors.
• Create tools to automate exploit analysis tasks.
• Develop host-based and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting and mitigation.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reporting for diverse audiences.
• Brief customers and collaborate across teams on mitigation strategies.
