CrowdStrike is seeking a security researcher to analyze exploits and intrusion techniques observed in the wild, focusing on both defensive research and threat intelligence reporting. You will reverse engineer exploits, develop automated analysis tools, and contribute to proactive mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques for userspace and kernel vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of Windows and other OS platforms.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication.
• Proficient reverse engineering tools and processes.
• Programming in Python.
• Ability to leverage LLMs/AI tools to accelerate vulnerability research.
• Experience using AI to enhance decision-making and efficiency.
• Excellent written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems for cross-team adversary tracking based on exploitation behavior.
• Improve and maintain capabilities to detect exploits and malicious payloads.
• Identify opportunities to increase threat visibility using new data sources.
• Maintain deep understanding of exploits via reverse engineering.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis tasks.
• Create a classification framework for intrusion activity.
• Contribute to active mitigation with technical expertise.
• Develop host- and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting and prevention.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reporting for all audiences.
