Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a security researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits and document exploitation techniques. You will reverse engineer exploits, develop automation, and contribute to threat intelligence and mitigation strategies.

Remote-friendly role requiring strong writing and collaboration with Intelligence teams. Ideal candidates have reverse engineering and malware analysis experience, Python proficiency, and a track record of producing actionable threat insights for diverse

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques for userspace and kernel vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of at least two OS platforms, including Windows.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems for cross-team adversary tracking based on exploitation behavior.
• Improve detection capabilities for exploits and malicious payloads.
• Identify opportunities to increase visibility of threats using new data sources.
• Maintain understanding of exploit internals via reverse engineering.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis tasks.
• Create a classification framework for intrusion activity based on vulnerabilities used.
• Contribute to active mitigation efforts with technical expertise.
• Develop host- and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting and prevention.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reports with actionable guidance.
• Brief complex analysis results to diverse audiences.
