Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a security researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits, track attacker behavior, and develop automation for exploit analysis. The role focuses on defensive research, reverse engineering, and collaboration with the Intelligence team to expand threat coverage.

The position requires deep knowledge of exploitation techniques, OS fundamentals, and strong technical writing skills, with remote work and occasional travel offered.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques seen in userspace and kernel exploits.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of Windows and other OS platforms.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to produce technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop tracking systems to inform cross-team adversary tracking based on exploitation behavior.
• Improve detection capabilities for exploits and malicious payloads.
• Develop signatures for large-scale hunting, detection, and prevention of identified exploits.
• Create a classification framework for intrusion activity using exploit characteristics.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reporting and participate in customer briefings.
