Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Account Executive Officer (AEO), Excess Casualty, to partner with agents and brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business based on customers' needs. This role is a technical resource with a focus on complex risk assessment and relationship-building across internal and external partners.

You will independently assess risk, negotiate with clients, and drive profitable growth while traveling to meet with agents and brokers to market

Qualifications

• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products, the regulatory environment, and the local market.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; CPCU is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet external agents/brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts within risk appetite.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with the Managing Director.
• Mentor less experienced Account Executives when needed.
