Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive Officer (AEO) for Commercial Accounts in a role focused on underwriting, relationship building, and sales leadership. You will partner with agents and brokers to provide property, general liability, commercial auto, and workers’ compensation coverage for new and renewal business, while traveling to client meetings as needed.

The ideal candidate brings 6–8 years of underwriting experience in commercial lines, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong negotiation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products and regulatory environment.
• CPCU designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate internal and external relationships to create sales plans and cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts within risk appetite.
• Travel to meetings as required.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with MD support.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
