Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive Officer (AEO) for Construction Loss Sensitive to partner with agents and brokers on new and renewal business needs. The role demands decisive, detail-oriented leadership and the ability to assess complex risk while selling Travelers products in challenging markets.

You will build relationships, drive profitability, and collaborate with internal partners to align sales plans with the company’s risk appetite. Travel to meetings is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in construction loss sensitive.
• Deep knowledge of construction loss sensitive products and the local insurance market.
• Strong critical thinking to identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers in person to market and sell Travelers products.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with the Managing Director to create regional plans.
• May assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
