Job summary

Encore is seeking a Technical Specialist to set up and operate enhanced mid-level production events in a hospitality environment, ensuring top-notch client satisfaction. This role reports to an Associate or Director of Project Management in the assigned area.

Responsibilities include equipment operation, customer service excellence, staff mentoring, event supervision, and equipment maintenance. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred with 3+ years in event technology and 3-4 years in customer service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of event technology experience with specialty in Audio, Lighting, Projection, or Video is required.
• 3-4 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• External applicants must meet/validate and achieve/complete all training and certifications required for this position, within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet/complete all training and certification requirements as determined by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members in positions that may operate Company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: setup, operation, and breakdown of advanced audiovisual equipment; troubleshoot issues and ensure security and safety.
• Customer Service: provide excellent service, maintain client relationships, and collaborate on event solutions.
• Training/Staff Development: mentor and coach staff, develop technical skills, and stay current with technology.
• Event Supervision: perform pre/during/post event work and supervise technicians.
• Equipment Maintenance: manage storage, inventory, and maintenance of equipment.
