Job summary

Encore Global in San Diego, CA is seeking a Technical Specialist to manage the technical setup and operation of enhanced mid-level production events in a hospitality environment, ensuring client satisfaction. This role reports to an Associate Director or Director of Project Management in their area.

The position requires 3+ years of event technology experience in Audio/Lighting/Projection/Video, plus strong customer service or hospitality background; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred and ability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of event technology experience with Audio/Lighting/Projection/Video is required.
• 3-4 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• External applicants must meet/validate and achieve/complete all training and certifications required for this position within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet/complete all training and certification requirements as determined by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: Set up, operate, and break down advanced AV equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent service and maintain strong client relationships.
• Training/Staff Development: Mentor staff and develop technical and leadership skills.
• Event Supervision: Supervise technicians during events and coordinate with teams.
• Equipment Maintenance: Manage security, storage, inventory, and transportation of equipment.
