Job summary

Encore is seeking a Technical Lead to oversee the setup and operation of audiovisual systems in hospitality environments, ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This role reports to an Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology and emphasizes leadership, on-site client interaction, and proficient AV problem-solving.

The position requires 2-3+ years of AV experience, a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), and a valid driver’s license for vehicle-operating locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2-3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 2-3+ years of audio-visual experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required for positions that may operate Company vehicles.
• Internal applicants must meet training requirements per Encore’s L&D program.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and breakdown intermediate audiovisual equipment accurately and timely.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly.
• Ensure compliance with company security and safety measures.
• Maintain equipment security to prevent theft or damage.
• Provide excellent service and exceed client expectations on site.
• Lead, mentor, and coach other Technicians in Encore’s Delivering World Class Service philosophy.
• Build positive client relationships and ensure equipment works properly during events.
• Understand and foster hotel/client relationships; manage on-site guests and check-ins at events.
• Work with clients to finalize invoices and engage with Encore systems as needed.
