Job summary

Rivian Automotive in California is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead complex vehicle repairs and field operations. Based mainly at a service center, you may travel to remote sites or production plants to provide advanced field support.

You will mentor junior technicians, drive continuous improvement, and engage with customers and suppliers to resolve escalations. Strong HV, LV, ADAS, and diagnostics skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; automotive repair schooling preferred.
• Minimum 5–8+ years in automotive repair with bumper‑to‑bumper diagnostics experience.
• HV/high voltage system experience and leadership or supervisory background are preferred.
• Strong documentation, escalation management, and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper‑to‑bumper diagnostics, complex repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers and field locations.
• Provide high‑level remote diagnostics support and guide field teams using vehicle data and schematics.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians; lead cross‑functional problem‑solving.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to resolve HV, LV, and network faults; ensure safety
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and drive standardization across workflows.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing; document feedback.
