Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician based in Southern California to lead advanced diagnostics and complex repairs. The role blends service center work with field support, remote troubleshooting, and cross-functional leadership to drive high-quality repairs and continuous improvement.

You’ll mentor junior technicians, handle HV and high-level diagnostics, and collaborate with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Graduation from automotive repair school preferred.
Ability to travel to regional locations or production plants as needed.
Valid driver’s license with clean record; 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics, complex repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers and in field settings.
Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and perform remote diagnostics or repairs when possible.
Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and cross-functional partners; lead problem-solving.
Utilize diagnostic tools to resolve complex electrical, HV, and network faults.
Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and drive continuous improvement across workflows.
Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing; document feedback to engineering.
