Job summary

Rivian Automotive seeks an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to act as a technical expert and leader in repairs and field operations. The role involves supporting complex diagnostics, mentoring junior staff, and driving continuous improvement across service workflows.

Based mainly at a service center, the role may involve remote work, travel to remote locations, and production plants to provide advanced field support. Strong HV knowledge, diagnostics, and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

5–8+ years automotive repair experience, bumper-to-bumper diagnostics.
3–8+ years working on High Voltage (HV) systems and HV diagnostics.
Experience in leadership or supervisory roles.
Background in continuous improvement and process standardization.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs in service centers or field settings.
Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting.
Coach, mentor and train junior technicians; lead cross-functional problem solving.
Utilize specialized diagnostic tools to resolve HV and network faults.
Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing.
Produce documentation and provide root-cause analysis to leadership.
