Job summary

Rivian Automotive is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to serve as a technical expert and leader in supporting complex vehicle repairs and field operations. The role blends service-center work with field support, requiring readiness to travel to remote locations and production plants as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Experience in bumper-to-bumper diagnostics is preferred.
• 5 to 8+ years automotive repair experience.
• 3 to 8+ years HV (high voltage) experience.
• Experience in leadership or supervision.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations or plants.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics, complex repairs, installations, and inspections in service centers and field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance to field service teams and perform remote diagnostics or repairs.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and cross-functional partners.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to resolve complex electrical, HV, and network faults.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and drive standardization across workflows.
• Oversee complex parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory management, and billing.
• Produce documentation and provide root-cause analysis to leadership.
