Job summary

ChargeTronix in Southern California is seeking a Senior DC fast-charger technician to own uptime, commission new sites, and mentor Tier I/II techs. This field-based role serves as the primary on-site contact for customers in the territory.

You will analyze logs, diagnose complex faults, and drive root-cause fixes with engineering feedback. Expect extensive travel and independent work with a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years field service, including 3+ years on EV charging equipment and 2+ years on DC fast chargers.
• Component-level repair on DCFC hardware and cable/ connector replacement.
• Experience with 480 V three-phase systems and high-voltage DC; read wiring diagrams.
• Track record of training or leading technicians, or writing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Tier III escalations at DC fast chargers and related components.
• Commission new installations and run interoperability tests across vehicle platforms.
• Own territory uptime, MTTR, and first-time fix rate; feed failure data to engineering.
• Train Tier I/II technicians; develop SOPs and troubleshooting guides.
• Act as primary on-site customer contact; communicate issues and risks clearly.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, vehicle, and PPE; ensure safety compliance.
