Job summary

ChargeTronix, based in Southern California, seeks a senior field technician to own uptime across a regional territory for DC fast-charger systems. You will commission new sites, lead field activities, and mentor Tier I/II technicians on site.

The role demands 5+ years of electrical or electromechanical field service, including 2+ years on DC fast chargers, with strong fault-dinding using PLC, CAN and log data. Expect significant travel and autonomous problem solving.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on electrical or electromechanical field service.
• 3+ years on EV charging equipment, 2+ years on DC fast chargers (50 kW+).
• Experience with 480 V three-phase systems and high-voltage DC.
• Track record of training or leading technicians and writing procedures.”

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair DC fast-charger faults at component level when needed.
• Commission and test new installations, including 480 V service, grounding, networking and backend registration.
• Own uptime and MTTR for sites in territory; report weekly.
• Lead and mentor Tier I/II technicians; develop SOPs and training materials.
• Maintain safety standards (NFPA 70E, OSHA) and perform risk assessments on energized work.
• Document field reports, communicate issues and risks to service manager.
