Job summary

ChargeTronix seeks an experienced Senior Field Service Technician (Tier III) to own uptime across a Southern California territory. You will commission new sites, troubleshoot complex faults, mentor Tier I/II technicians, and communicate with customers as the primary on-site contact.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical/electromechanical field service, 2+ years on DC fast chargers, and strong proposal of field data to engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on electrical or electromechanical field service, including 3+ years on EV charging equipment.
• Ability to read one-lines, wiring diagrams, and schematics; experience with 480 V three-phase systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair DC fast-charger faults at component level when appropriate and perform field upgrades.
• Commission and test new installations, verify 480 V service, grounding, and backend registration.
• Own uptime; track mean time to repair and first-time fix rate; train Tier I/II technicians.
• Lead and mentor technicians; develop SOPs and training materials for the service team.
• Maintain safety through NFPA 70E compliance, LOTO, and NEC/local codes; document field reports.
