Job summary

ChargeTronix designs and builds modular DC fast chargers and relies on a senior field technician to ensure uptime across a territory. This role serves as the escalation point for Tier II faults, signs off on new site commissions, and mentors Tier I/II techs while collaborating with engineers.

You will work independently, travel extensively, and provide on-site leadership for customer interactions, safety, and field data feedback to improve products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on electrical or electromechanical field service, including 3+ years on EV charging equipment.
• 3+ years on DC fast chargers (50 kW+) with component-level repair experience.
• Able to read 480 V three-phase systems and high-voltage DC schematics.
• Experience training or leading other technicians.
• Track record of improving field reliability and documenting issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Tier III escalation faults on DC fast chargers at component level.
• Commission and test new installations, including 480 V service and network registration.
• Own uptime metrics for the territory and report weekly on reliability.
• Lead, mentor, and sign off Tier I/II technicians; develop SOPs and guides.
• Ensure safety with NFPA 70E, PPE, and on-site risk assessment.
• Document field reports and communicate issues proactively to the service manager.
