Job summary

ChargeTronix is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to own the technical aspects of its EV chargers and drive product development across the development cycle. You will lead tasks, stay current with EVSE industry trends, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure quality and efficiency in Line of products.

You will also support regulatory programs, pilots, and strategy initiatives, working closely with R&D, operations, sales, and service teams to deliver best-in-class customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering background.
• 4-8+ years in EV Charger product development, R&D, testing, or service.
• Strong knowledge of EVSE communication, hardware, firmware, and charging standards.
• Experience with JSON, Protobuf, gRPC, REST, HTTP, TLS, TCP, UDP, CAN.
• Experience with device-to-cloud interfaces of charging protocols such as OCPP and ISO15118.
• Experience implementing software for power conversion, thermal controls, or battery management.
• Comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organization and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D, operations, sales, marketing, and service to optimize product performance.
• Work with Product Managers on related EV charging products for North America.
• Assist in QA of EV chargers’ firmware and hardware through testing.
• Stay current with EVSE industry trends and updates.
• Manage EVSE documentation including certifications, schematics, and test reports.
• Develop and deliver training modules on EVSEs for internal teams and clients.
• Contribute to solution design for DC EV charger issues, projects, and proposals.
• Drive continuous product improvement using new technologies and customer insights.
• Oversee product lifecycle strategy for DC & AC charging stations in NA market.
• Support service with expertise on EVSE hardware/firmware to resolve issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
