Job summary

ChargeTronix in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an EV Charger Technical Support Specialist who is a subject matter expert on EV charging. You will diagnose and repair DC EV chargers and provide technical assistance to customers and field technicians, reviewing tickets and ensuring timely resolution.

The role requires strong communication, solid electrical systems knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
Strong understanding of hardware and PCB functionality.
Hands-on experience with low voltage components (12V/24V).
Proven experience in technical support or field service, preferably EV.
Strong understanding of electrical systems (AC/DC, wiring diagrams).
Proficiency with diagnostic tools for troubleshooting electronics.
Basic knowledge of Linux OS and networks.
Excellent communication and a customer-focused attitude.
Ability to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt and courteous technical support to customers via written and verbal communication.
Diagnose technical issues with EV charging equipment remotely.
Assist customers and field technicians with installation procedures, configuration settings, diagnosis and software updates.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in a CRM/Ticketing system; create troubleshooting guides.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and sales.
Work independently and meet deadlines.
Willingness to travel domestically.
Other duties as assigned.
