Job summary

Gilbane Building in Columbus, OH is seeking an Estimating Manager to lead estimating activities for multiple projects or a single large complex project. You will oversee the estimating team, develop cost plans, and coordinate with operations, design teams, and clients to ensure accurate, timely estimates.

You will leverage On-Screen Take-off, Destini, and other estimating tools, managing diverse project types from conceptual budgeting through bid preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• 8-15+ years of relevant estimating experience across complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads the estimating process and deliverable for multiple concurrent projects within a BU or a single large/complex project through the design phase.
• Develops estimating deliverables for multiple project types and delivery methods.
• Prepares preliminary conceptual cost estimates and budgets with clear costing assumptions.
• Collaborates with operations, accounting, VDC, purchasing, and scheduling.
• Coordinates with Senior Estimating Manager, preconstruction lead, operations, and BD on all deliverables.
• Coordinates and oversees a team of estimators for large, multi-disciplinary estimates.
• Leads the Value Management process to reduce price and increase value.
• Represents Gilbane with Owners and design teams during the pursuit and preconstruction process.
