Job summary

Gilbane Building Company seeks a Senior Estimator to lead the estimating deliverable for complex projects across a national footprint. You will coordinate with the Senior Estimating Manager, preconstruction, operations, and BD to price and bid multiple projects while mentoring junior estimators.

This role requires strong leadership, knowledge of take-off software (OST/Destini) and the ability to translate plans into accurate cost models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5–10+ years of relevant experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads the estimating deliverable for an entire project coordinated with the Senior Estimating Manager, preconstruction lead, operations team, and BD staff.
• Coordinates the development of Site Services general costs with the operations team, Senior Estimating Manager, and preconstruction lead.
• Coaches and mentors a team of estimators to develop large, multi-disciplinary estimates.
• Reviews and understands all project plans, requirements, and specifications.
• Develops and recommends contingency and allowance values with each estimating deliverable.
• Substantiates all aspects of final estimates.
