Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking an Estimating Manager to oversee all estimating needs across multiple projects or a large, complex project. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with operations and design teams, and delivering reliable cost estimates throughout the design phase.

You will lead a team of estimators, coordinate with internal disciplines, and contribute to value management and fee development while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 8-15+ years of relevant estimating experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Ability to lead multiple estimates concurrently on diverse projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads the estimating process for concurrent or large projects through design and preconstruction.
• Develops estimating deliverables for multiple project types and delivery methods.
• Coordinates with operations, accounting, VDC, purchasing and scheduling to ensure accurate estimates.
• Manages a team of estimators and mentors direct reports in processes and daily tasks.
• Acts as a Gilbane brand ambassador with Owners, design teams and partners.
