Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the estimating process for complex projects, coordinating with the Senior Estimating Manager, operations, and business development teams. This role involves supervising estimators and providing guidance on bid preparation for multiple projects.

You will contribute to conceptual cost estimates, budgets, and cost models, while ensuring alignment with contract requirements and trade costs, and supporting the Preconstruction team through

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5-10+ years relevant experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads the estimating deliverable for an entire project coordinated with the Senior Estimating Manager, preconstruction lead, operations team, and BD staff.
• Coordinates development of Site Services general costs with operations team and preconstruction lead to align with contract requirements and trade costs.
• Develops and mentors a team of estimators for large, multi-disciplinary estimates.
• Develops and recommends contingency and allowance values with each estimating deliverable.
• Determines labor and equipment costs.
