Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking an Estimating Manager to oversee all estimating needs for multiple projects or a single large, complex project. The role emphasizes leading the estimating process across design phases, coordinating with operations, purchasing, scheduling, and other internal teams to deliver accurate, timely estimates.

You will build and manage a team of estimators, mentor staff, and drive value management while ensuring alignment with contract requirements and Gilbane's standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 8-15+ years of relevant estimating experience or equivalent.
• Experience leading multiple estimates concurrently on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads the estimating process for multiple concurrent projects or a large complex project through design.
• Develops estimating deliverables for various project types and delivery methods.
• Prepares preliminary conceptual cost estimates and budgets with clear cost assumptions.
• Coordinates with operations, accounting, VDC, purchasing, scheduling.
• Supervises estimators and ensures accuracy of estimates.
